Local Lutheran Camping

Summer camps, retreats and other outdoor events are offered.  Summer camp brochures and information usually become available starting in late January or early February.  There are often summer camp  early-bird discounts if registered prior to April or May depending on the camp.

• Bear Creek Camp - Our Synod's camp near Wilkes-Barre, PA (For both North East PA and South East PA Synod).  Approximately an hour and 45 minute drive.
• Camp Kirchenwald - Lower Susquehanna Synod Camp near Mount Gretna, PA (also covers Camp Nawaka and Wittel Farm).  Camp Kirchenwald is approximately an hour drive from our church which is closer to us than Bear Creek.
• Camp Mount Luther - Upper Susquehanna Synod Camp near Lewisburg and Mifflinburg, PA (about a 2 and a half hour drive)
• ELCA Outdoor Ministries
• Tel Hai Camp and Retreat - Not specifically a Lutheran camp but it is a church camp located just a few minutes from the church locally in Honey Brook.  An excellent low cost resident summer camp for children 8-11 is held for 1 week in early August.
• Camp Cherith - Again not specifically a Lutheran Camp but it is another church camp held at the local Tel Hai Camp facility
